Fundamental rights impact assessment
An assessment certain deployers must do before using a high-risk AI system, covering its impact on people's rights.
A fundamental rights impact assessment is an assessment that certain deployers must carry out before putting a high-risk AI system into use under the EU AI Act, describing the process in which it is used, the people likely to be affected, the specific risks of harm, the human oversight measures and the steps to take if risks materialise. Deployers covered include public bodies, private entities providing public services, and deployers of systems for credit scoring and for life and health insurance pricing. The AI Omnibus amended this provision, so the current scope should be checked in the consolidated text.
