AI Omnibus
The EU regulation that amended the AI Act's timeline for high-risk rules and simplified some of its duties.
The AI Omnibus is the EU regulation that amended the AI Act as part of the Commission's digital simplification package. The Commission says it entered into force in July of the year after it was proposed. It extends the timeline for high-risk rules on Annex III uses, such as credit scoring, and further for high-risk AI in Annex I products; it also simplifies the AI literacy requirement for companies, extends some SME simplifications to small mid-caps and prohibits AI that generates non-consensual intimate content.
