Payment Mandate
In AP2, the mandate that authorises payment for a checkout, verified by the credential provider, network and processor.
In the Agent Payments Protocol, a Payment Mandate is the mandate used to authorise payment for a particular checkout against a specific payment instrument. Its content is created by the shopping agent, shown to the user on a trusted surface and verified by the credential provider, the network and the merchant's payment processor. In its open form it carries constraints such as a budget and allowed instruments, and in its closed form it binds a specific amount to a finalised checkout.
