Agentic checkout
A checkout an agent completes through a structured API with the seller, instead of operating the seller's website.
Agentic checkout is a checkout that an agent completes through a structured interface with the seller, instead of operating the seller's website as if it were a person. In the Agentic Commerce Protocol, the Agentic Checkout specification defines a REST interface for creating, updating, completing and cancelling checkout sessions, while the seller calculates prices, taxes and shipping and processes the payment. A structured checkout gives both sides a clear record of what was offered and accepted.
