Post-market monitoring
A provider's ongoing collection and review of experience from a deployed AI system, to find and fix problems.
Under the EU AI Act, a post-market monitoring system covers all activities by which providers collect and review experience from AI systems they have placed on the market, to identify any need for corrective or preventive action. Providers of high-risk systems must establish and document such a system, proportionate to the risks, and base it on a post-market monitoring plan that forms part of the technical documentation. For agents, monitoring data includes outcomes of actions, complaints, overrides and near misses reported by deployers.
