Agent token
A payment credential issued for use by a specific agent, which can be limited and revoked without replacing the card.
An agent token is a payment credential issued for use by a specific AI agent on a customer's behalf, typically a network token tied to the customer's card but distinct from it. Visa describes agent-specific tokens in Visa Intelligent Commerce, and Mastercard describes Agent Pay as letting only registered agents transact with Mastercard network tokens. Because the token belongs to one agent, it can carry its own limits and be revoked without affecting the card or other tokens.
