Account information service
An online service providing consolidated information on a user's payment accounts held with other providers.
Under PSD2, an account information service is an online service to provide consolidated information on one or more payment accounts held by the payment service user with another payment service provider or with more than one. Providers of such services must be registered or authorised, identify themselves to the account provider and access data only with the user's explicit consent and only for the service requested. Budgeting, bookkeeping and cash-flow agents typically rely on this channel to read accounts.
