Financial data access framework (FIDA)
The European Commission's proposed regulation on customer-permissioned access to financial data beyond payment accounts.
The framework for financial data access, often called FIDA, is a regulation proposed by the European Commission to give customers rights to share their financial data beyond payment accounts, such as savings, investments, pensions and insurance, with authorised users. The proposal includes financial data sharing schemes that set common rules and interfaces, and permission dashboards that let customers see and withdraw access. As a proposal, its content may change before any adoption, so the Commission's page should be checked for its status.
