Secure Payment Confirmation
A W3C web standard for confirming a payment's details with a WebAuthn credential, producing signed evidence.
Secure Payment Confirmation is a W3C specification that lets a website ask the browser to show the user a payment's details, such as the amount and the payee, and have the user confirm them with a Web Authentication credential. The result is cryptographic evidence that the user saw and approved those specific details, which a bank or payment provider can verify. It supports dynamic linking in the browser and is one of the building blocks for approving agent-proposed payments.
