Consent
A freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of a person's agreement to the processing of their data.
Under the GDPR, consent is a freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of the data subject's wishes by which they signify agreement to the processing of their personal data, by a statement or a clear affirmative action. Pre-ticked boxes and silence do not count, and consent must be as easy to withdraw as to give. Consent to data processing is distinct from authority to make a payment, which payment law and the mandate govern separately.
